The Shelby County Arts Council (formerly the Academy of Fine Arts of Shelby County, and initially the Columbiana Fine Arts Center) is a non-profit organization that promotes the arts in Shelby County. Terri Sullivan is president the council's 11-member Board of Directors.
The group, which was first incorporated on September 15, 2004, sponsors art-related programs and events. In 2007 the council supported Kindermusik classes in Pelham and a visit from the mobile "Artrain" exhibit at Calera's Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum.
