Food Town was a grocery store located at 700 19th Street in Bessemer. It opened in 1950 and was advertised as a "home owned" and "100% union" store. A second Food Town store was lcoated at 1372 Hueytown Road in Hueytown until the early 1980s, when a larger Food Giant store was opened in the adjacent Hueytown Plaza.
