The Mortals was a rock band consisting of Rick Kurtz, Lolly Lee, Don Tinsley, Bruce Crain, Mike Matos and Marcelle Nichols. They played regularly in the early 1980s at the Old Town Music Hall on Morris Avenue.

The band was the closing act at a K-99 Tribute Concert at Caldwell Park in 1982.

Tinsley recalled that the band had a couple of shots at record deals, but lacked enough stability to take advantage of them.
