Gene Reed Road is a mostly east-west road which winds approximately 2 miles through the Roebuck and Huffman neighborhoods of eastern Birmingham. Beginning in the west, Gene Reed Road begins at Robison Drive in a residential area of Roebuck, heading directly eastward approximately 1/2 mile to Parkway East. It continues eastward, intersects with Huffman Road, and then continues to wind through a residential section of Huffman. At the intersection of Rollingwood Road, Gene Reed Road continues in a mostly southernly direction, ending at its intersection with Gadsden Highway. It continues south towards South Roebuck as Willow Lane.
