2016 Hoover municipal election were held in Hoover on August 23, 2016 to determine the Mayor of Hoover and all seven places on the Hoover City Council. Qualifying for the election was open from July 5 to July 19. With the exception of three council members, all incumbent office holders ran for re-election.
