2201–2209 3rd Avenue North is a one-story, 10,000 square-foot brick commercial building which was constructed in 1923 on the northwest corner of Block 83, which is the southeast corner of the intersection of 3rd Avenue North and 22nd Street North in downtown Birmingham's Central City neighborhood.
In late 2022 the building was purchased by Kupperman Companies of New Orleans, Louisiana in partnership with GBX Group of Cleveland, Ohio. The new owners planned significant upgrades to the building, which Zach Kupperman described as "about to fall down." The company attempted to negotiate new leases for existing tenants, but was largely unsuccessful.
