OmegaCon is a science fiction and fantasy convention planned for March 14-16, 2008 at the Sheraton Birmingham. Shaun Knopf is the convention president
The program features eight simultaneous program tracks, including Celtic, Literary, Star Wars, Gaming, Paranormal, Art, Hard Science, and Music. The Celtic track will overlap with Birmingham's St Patrick's Day celebrations.
2008
Confirmed celebrity guests include Peter Mayhew, Kevin Sorbo, Richard Hatch, Ray Park, Chase Masterson, Yaphet Kotto, Suzi Lorraine, Rena Owen, Veronica Cartwright, and Patrick Burns.
George Takei and The Ghost Hunters (Bill "Splat" Johnson, and Julie Caitlin Brown) canceled their scheduled appearances.
