Westover (incorporated in 2001) is a town located along U.S. Highway 280 in northern Shelby County, between Chelsea and Harpersville. The current mayor is J. Mark McLaughlin.

Westover has a mayor/council system of government. The Westover Town Council consists of five seats, currently occupied by Sam Mann (Place 1), Larry Riggins (Place 2), Annette S.
