The first one-day conference was held at Woodrow Hall in Woodlawn on January 22, 2011. The conference was attended by 125 food bloggers, chefs, photographers and marketing professionals and included multimedia presentations, tastings, and opportunities to network.

The conference was organized by Jason Horn and Shaun Chavis. The headline presenter was Kim Severson, author and columnist for The New York Times. Other presenters included Erin Shaw Street, Jennifer Davick and Marian Cooper Cairns of Southern Living and local bloggers Wade Kwon, André Natta, Amanda Storey, and John-Bryan Hopkins. Revenues from registrations were shared with the Desert Island Supply Company writing program and the Alabama Gulf Coast Environmental Recovery Fund.
