This is a List of homicides in 2015, including homicide cases reported throughout the Birmingham District. At least 3 homicides were reported in the area for the year. Note that a "homicide" refers to the cause of death as determined by a medical examiner, not to the crime of murder as charged by prosecutors and adjudicated through the courts.

  1. January 4: Timothy Johnson, 17, died from head injuries suffered during a confrontation with two people at his home on the 1300 block of 27th Street North the previous Friday evening. No arrests. (report)

  1. January 5: A 34-year-old female was stabbed to death and her 5-year-old daughter abducted from their home at the Cypress Garden Apartments on Carousel Court. The girl's father is suspected and remains at large. (report)
