This is a List of homicides in 2019, including homicide cases reported throughout the Birmingham District. To date, at least 11 homicides have been reported in the area for the year. Note that a "homicide" refers to the cause of death as determined by a medical examiner, not to the crime of murder as charged by prosecutors and adjudicated through the courts.

- January 3: An unnamed male was killed and two other men wounded by gunfire when an argument broke out at Hammett Towing & Recovery on Wesson Lake Road just outside Attalla. The suspected shooter has not been named, but is believed to have been one of those injured. (report)

Midfield
- January 24: David Lee Morgan, 40, was found dead from gunshot wounds at a vacant parking lot at the intersection of Cherry Street and Bessemer Superhighway. Investigators believe he was killed elsewhere and dumped there. No arrest. (report)
Unincorporated Jefferson County
- January 9: Brandi Allen, 39, was killed by her estranged husband, Mark David Allen, 43, who committed suicide. They were both found in a car parked at her home on the 8500 block of Old Bagley Road in the Bagley community. (report)
