Incorporated Cities and Towns

Check out this list [1] on the NACo website. It seems to be pretty comprehensive, though it doesn't list Pinson (Jefferson County's newest incorporated city) or Clay as being incopoprated, while Center Point is listed and it was incorporated after Clay. --Wheresdib 07:29, 9 February 2007 (PST)

  • I called the Jefferson County Commission's office and they said they got their list off of the ADECA website. I have looked on there but can't find anything. The person I talked to was supposed to e-mail me their list, which has the mayors of each town/city listed as well, but that was over 30 minutes ago and I haven't gotten anything. --Wheresdib 07:57, 9 February 2007 (PST)

City Limits bleed over into Jefferson

The list that I got from the Jefferson County Commission lists Helena, Lakeview, and Sumiton as being in Jefferson. I called each of these and their city limits do bleed over into Jefferson. Helena is in both Jefferson and Shelby, Lakeview is in Tuscaloosa, and Sumiton is in Walker. I assume we should list these on here.

Also, Dora and Fairview were not on the list, so I don't have their phone numbers. I am not sure if they are in Jefferson or not. Fairview is in Cullman County (the one I know about) and since Cullman isn't contiguous with Jefferson, I don't think it belongs. --Wheresdib 10:20, 9 February 2007 (PST)
