The Birmingham Magazine was a monthly publication of the C. W. Roberts Company on behalf of the Business Men's League and the City of Birmingham. Its first issue was dated August, 1915 with the following named on the colophon: Colie W. Roberts, editor and manager; Winnie Davis Roberts, associate editor; Bossie O'Brien Hundley, Alma Rittenberry and Sam H. Fowlkes, department editors; Cicero P. Roberts, assistant manager, Clarence Exum and Frank S. Rae, advertising representatives.

The stated purpose of the magazine was to "increase the business and sale of Birmingham and Alabama products". It was printed and bound by the Birmingham Printing & Binding Company.
