• November 22: Leon Shaw, 33, a drug dealer serving a prison sentance but out on work release, died nine months after being shot in the back of the head while being robbed of money and cocaine. Jimmy Lee Dill was convicted in May 1989 and sentenced the next August to death. He was executed on April 16, 2009.
