2017 National Senior Games

The 2017 National Senior Games or National Senior Olympics is a sports competition showcasing multiple events for athletes aged 50 and over. The event has been held every other year since 1987. For the 30th anniversary games in 2017 as many as 10,000 participants will compete in nineteen events at ten different venues.
Birmingham was announced as host of the June 2-15, 2017 event at a press conference in January 2016. Michael McGreevey chairs the organizing committee. Humana is the presenting sponsor. Organizers are seeking thousands of volunteers to help conduct the event.
