The 2018 Alexander City plane crash was a non-fatal aviation accident that occurred near the Alexander City Airport on June 24, 2018.

The pilot of the small private plane left from Peachtree City, Georgia with his grandson as the only passenger. The aircraft's engine reportedly died during their approach to Alexander City and the pilot attempted an emergency landing in a nearby field. The plane struck power lines, though, and crashed to the ground. Both of those aboard were able to safely exit uninjured before the wreckage burst into flame.
