The 2022 general election, a mid-term election in which the offices of president and vice-president were not contested, was held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.

For the first time since 2002, the Libertarian Party of Alabama qualified candidates for the statewide ballot by submitting petitions with signatures of more than 3% of the state's qualified voters.
