The former Abrams High School building became part of the primary school campus.

J. S. Abrams Elementary School (formerly J. S. Abrams Primary School) is an elementary school in the Bessemer City Schools system, located at 1200 23rd Street North.

The school was constructed in 1980, feeding Abrams High School. When the high school closed in 1987 the primary school took over its building and added a sixth grade, feeding into Davis Middle School.
