Acme Theatres Inc. was a holding company formed in 1933 by Marvin Wise and Frank Merritt to own the properties on which their chain of movie theaters operated.

It was a successor to the former Wise Theatres company (in which Wise's wife, Sallie was a founding partner) and Merritt's Magic Amusement Co. It existed simultaneously with Galax Theatres, the company which operated the cinema houses. The company was dissolved in 1937.

These related companies were sometimes referred to as the Wise interests or the Merritt interests.
