Allen Treadaway

Benjamin Allen Treadaway (born September 25, 1961) represents District 51 in the Alabama State House of Representatives and formerly served as assistant chief of the Birmingham Police Department.

Treadaway spent a decade working in manufacturing before he joined the Birmingham Police Department in 1989 and was assigned to the West Precinct. In 1992 he was recognized as "West Precinct Officer of the Year". He was promoted to sergeant in 1998. As a captain he was commanding the East Precinct, and preparing for retirement, when he was named assistant chief by Mayor Randall Woodfin in 2018. He retired in October 2020.
