Angene Colaman

Angene Coleman (born c. 1952 in Birmingham) is a drug abuse prevention counselor for Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment Centers, Inc.

Coleman graduated from Western-Olin High School in 1970 and earned her bachelor's degree in social work at Miles College. She was director of the Morton Simpson Community Center.

Coleman has served as vice-president of the Smithfield Estates neighborhood, as a member of the Greater Pratt City Improvement Cooperative, and on the board of the Village Creek Society. She has also volunteered at Birmingham City Schools and as a boy's basketball coach.

Coleman qualified as a candidate for Birmingham City Council District 9 in the 2013 Birmingham municipal election.
