The church building was irreparably damaged by the April 2011 tornado. Lewis established a "Pratt City Disaster Relief Center" at Scott School, coordinating relief efforts for the community. The congregation of 2,000 met temporarily at the Fair Park Arena while planning to rebuild.

The church held its first service in the new building on August 24, 2014.
