The Bici Cooperative (Bici Coop) is a bicycle maintenance, education and community cooperative located at 1211 28th Street South, near Rhodes Park. The group's shop provides maintenance and repair services to members and is available to the public at large for assistance at a nominal hourly fee. Low-cost parts and even frames are kept in stock. The coop also organizes classes and community events aimed to promote safe bicycling in Birmingham.
Alan Barton founded the coop in October 2008, utilizing alley space behind Greencup Books. A grand opening for the Southside shop was held on May 1, 2009. Anna Carrigan is fundraising coordinator and Elisa Munoz is marketing director.
In April 2015 Bici Coop moved to MakeBhm's Continental Gin Industrial Park location.
