Birmingham Bill is the Birmingham Zoo's groundhog. He is on display year-round, but is part of a ceremony every February 2 since 1990, as part of Groundhog Day.

The original Birmingham Bill lived to be 10 years old, and passed away on February 13, 1996, 11 days after his final forecast. The original Bill correctly predicted the weather all 7 years. The current Birmingham Bill made his debut on February 2, 1997.
