Byron Sonnier (born October 31, 1974 in Lake Arthur, Louisiana) is an artist and musician.

Sonnier's family moved to Baton Rouge when he was a teenager and he graduated from Tara High School there in 1992. He later relocated to Birmingham, drawn to the postindustrial landscape that was easily associated with the punk rock, graffiti and vernacular photography that he was pursuing.
