Cahaba River Road is a 3.4-mile long curving road that begins at Dolly Ridge Road just off U.S. Highway 280 in Cahaba Heights. It passes through a gap in Dolly Ridge south of Altadena Road and under I-459, then parallels Old Looney Mill Road toward the north bank of the Cahaba River. It follows the river bank back to the east before crossing at the Cahaba River Bridge just below the 280 Bridge, rejoining Highway 280 opposite Cahaba Park Circle.
