Carol Clarke is an executive at Regions Financial Corp. and was appointed to fill the unexpired term of Edward Maddox on the Birmingham Board of Education.

Clarke graduated from Ramsay High School and earned a bachelor of science in electrical engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. She served as Director of the Birmingham Department of Economic Development under Mayor Bernard Kincaid.
