Center Point Veterans Memorial dedication in 2010

The Center Point Veterans Memorial is a memorial for veterans of all wars at Reed-Harvey Park off Polly Reed Road in Center Point. It was dedicated on Memorial Day, 2010.

The $46,000 project was shepherded by Wink Chapman, who worked with Laser Works of Alabama on a design similar to the Gardendale Veterans Memorial. It consists of a 7-foot tall black granite monument on a concrete plaza with engraved granite bricks in the paving. Additional granite benches and flags ring the plaza.

The memorial's granite bricks are available for residents to purchase, with inscriptions limited to the names of past or present members of the armed forces.
