Central State Bank of Calera

Central State Bank, based in Calera, was chartered on February 5, 1916. It currently has 2 branches in Calera and one in Pelham. It also owns Central State Bank Mortgage in Greystone.

Central was led by Roy Downs from 1945 until his death in 1971. His son-in-law, William M. Schroeder, has served as President, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer since that time.
