Chris Fryar (born 1970 in Birmingham) is a jazz drummer. He is a member of several active performing groups, including the Zac Brown Band, Ray Reach and Friends, the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame All-Stars and Oteil and the Peacemakers, led by bassist Oteil Burbridge of the Allman Brothers Band.

Fryar grew up in Gardendale and graduated from Gardendale High School. He attended North Texas State University and the Mississippi University for Women. He and his wife Julie reside in Birmingham.
