The Hollingsworths began recording tracks for what was intended to be for a 7-inch single Taylor to release, and producer [[Bruce Watson]] learned the couple had performed a few shows together as Dead Fingers, and it was decided to record a Dead Fingers album. Their self-titled debut album appeared on Watson's Big Legal Mess/Fat Possum Records in [[2012]].
 
The Hollingsworths added drummer Alan Rosser and returned to the studio to record ''Big Black Dog'' which was released by Birmingham labels [[Pipe and Gun]] and [[Communicating Vessels]] on [[July 15]], [[2014]].

Dead Fingers is a music duo formed by Kate Taylor and her husband, Taylor Hollingsworth in 2009.
