The Firehouse Shelter, sometimes referred to as the Old Firehouse Shelter, is a men's homeless shelter and recovery center located in retired Birmingham Fire Station No. 6‎ at 1500 3rd Avenue North.

The shelter was founded in 1983. The building is touted as being the oldest standing fire station in the city, built at the turn of the 20th century. The shelter is operated by the Cooperative Downtown Ministries, and offers dinner, breakfast, and showers to overnight guests. Lunch is served daily to both men and women, whether they reside in the shelter or not.
