The Firehouse Shelter, sometimes referred to as the Old Firehouse Shelter, is a men's homeless shelter and recovery center located in retired Birmingham Fire Station No. 6‎ at 1500 3rd Avenue North.

The shelter was founded in 1983. The building is touted as being the oldest standing fire station in the city, built in 1905. The shelter is operated by the Cooperative Downtown Ministries, and offers dinner, breakfast, and showers to overnight guests. The shelter also assists clients with job training, counseling, employment and transitional housing placement, and other forms of assistance.

Lunch is served daily to both men and women, whether they reside in the shelter or not. Nearly 100,000 meals are served from the shelter each year.
