Herb's Hardware was a locally owned hardware store located at 110 North Chalkville Road in downtown Trussville. Opened in 1943 by local resident Herb Wingard, the store was sold to his son Paul Wingard in 1993.
The store would close its doors in the early 2000s with Michael L. O'Neil DDS operating his practice in the space formally occupied by the hardware store until 2013, when the building was purchsed by the city to make way for a left turn lane from Chalkville Road onto Main Street.
