Huffman neighborhood

Huffman, now a neighborhood in northeast Birmingham, was a community founded by a group of settlers who travelled down the Georgia Road from Virginia and South Carolina in 1822. The community was named for Daniel Huffman of Virginia and grew around the respected Huffman Academy.
