Iron City is a 22,000 square-foot concert and event venue located at 22nd Street and 6th Avenue South. Opening in December 2012, the $6 million facility is owned by Steve DeMedecis and will be operated by general manager Mike Craeger.
TRI Architecture designed the renovations to two existing buildings. The main stage is viewable from two levels and accommodates 1,300 for concerts. Creager designed the audio system. Meeting rooms, generous well-appointed restrooms and a full-service restaurant round out the venue. Chef William Rogers was brought in to upgrade the stand-alone restaurant in 2013.
