Jim Currier is a retired educator and football coach.

Currier has degrees from Samford University, UAB and the University of Montevallo. He began is coaching career in 1964. He has been head coach at Jacksonville High School, Pinson Valley High School, and Springville High School. He served as assistant coach at Calera High School, Banks High School, and retired from Woodlawn High School.

Currier's student-athletes have included Alabama Crimson Tide greats Johnny Musso, Gary Rutledge and Warren Lyles, Georgia Tech and San Diego Chargers great Billy Shields and current Auburn Tigers cornerback Chris Davis.

Currier, diagnosed with cancer in his vertebrae, lives in Pinson with his wife UnaKing. They have two sons, Dwayne and Kevyn.
