The Taylor Building is the name of the retail/commercial space at the southeast corner of 20th Street North and Morris Avenue in the parking deck built by the City of Birmingham in 1999 for the adjacent John A. Hand Building. It is named for Jimmy Taylor, the former CEO of what is now Superior Bank, who was instrumental in getting the parking deck built. In June 2007, Superior Bank leased the space from the city in order to expand its mortgage division, which is expected to move into the space by the end of 2007.
