Keith Wilson Kelley was formerly a Captain for the Alabama Department of Public Safety, responsible for the Alabama State Troopers' Birmingham post.

Kelley has served as president of the Alabama Narcotic Officers Association.

Kelley was injured while responding to to a DUI report on Memorial Day, 2006. A Midfield woman died in the accident.

Kelley was promoted to Captain and given the Birmingham post in August 1, 2007.

On September 28 Kelley was arrested by officers of the Pelham Police Department and charged with sexual abuse and sodomy following an incident reported on September 26. Kelley was immediately placed on unpaid leave. After an internal review of evidence, he was fired from his position with the ADPS. He was released from the Shelby County Jail after posting $200,000 bond.
