Kenneth Allen Clemons (born March 23, 1940; died September 13, 2018) was a former city councilman in Gardendale from 1972-1996 and was the Mayor of Gardendale from 1996-2008. He and his wife Rhonda have three children: Kerrie, Barry, and Connie. Kerrie died in a car wreck in 1989.

Clemons spent more than 30 years as an educator, having served as principal at Arthur Elementary School for 26 years and nine years as a teacher prior to that.

In October 2008, the Gardendale Soccer Complex was renamed to the Kenneth A. Clemons Recreational Complex in honor of Clemons for his many years of service to the city.

In December 2008, Clemons was hired as the first executive director of the Jefferson County Mayors Association in order to strengthen their capacity for lobbying the Alabama State Legislature.
