Kermit A. Johnson (born in Boaz) was superintendent of Jefferson County Board of Education and the 10th president of University of Montevallo.

Johnson, a graduate of Jacksonville State Teachers College, was Jefferson County superintendent from 1959 until 1968, at which time he was named president at Montevallo, where he served until [[[1977]].

Montevallo's Kermit A. Johnson Field, rededicated in 1981, and Pinson's Kermit A. Johnson Elementary School were named in his honor.
