"Know Your History" is a painted mural on the north side of the 1890 Spring Street Fire House at 408 41st Street South in Forest Park-South Avondale. It was painted in 2017 by Austin, Texas-based musician, music producer and artist Tim Kerr. The building now houses the non-profit Firehouse Community Arts Center.
The mural includes depictions of Sun Ra, Angela Davis, Spider Martin and Fred Shuttlesworth in black outlines over washes of color. The mural's title appears at the bottom, along with Kerr's signature, "your name here", which also serves as an encouragement.
