This article is about the former Birmingham school. For the McCalla school, see Lake View Elementary School.

Located on 2800 Clairmont Avenue and currently housing offices, the Lakeview School was designed by architects Charles and Harry Wheelock in 1901. When the school first opened in 1901, it housed grades 1-4, and after final construction was completed in 1909, grades 5-7 were added. The first principal of the school was Nannie D. Davis.
