Laser's Edge Compact Discs was an independent music store specializing in compact discs located at 2825 18th Street South in Homewood. It was opened by Fred Osuna in June 1991 and closed in January 2008.
In addition to top selling discs and pop hits, the store carried an extensive inventory of classical, jazz, soul, country, and world music titles. The store also stocked dozens of box sets and music-related DVDs. Well-equipped listening stations allowed customers to sample music in the store. The store was also well known for its support of local musicians, ranging from garage bands to the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, and for its in-store concerts.
