The following is a list of one-of-a-kind, non-recurring and non-touring events held at the Alabama Theatre.
- March 20, 1952: The world premiere of the feature film "Steel Town"
- July 30, 1988: The world premiere of the film Verne Miller
- October 14-16, 1988: Regional ATOS convention
- September 9, 1989: Stars Fell on the Alabama Reunion - Presentation of the Alabama Walk of Fame
- March 13, 1993: Garrison Keillor's American Radio Company performance; broadcast nationwide but had few audience members due to the Blizzard of 1993.
- September 13, 1997: Birmingham premiere of Spike Lee's documentary, 4 Little Girls
- August 30, 2000: Live taping of the 2000 Gaither Christmas Homecoming, "Christmas in the Country", aired on TNN in November.
- March 10, 2005: PhillipsFest
- February 5, 2011: "Abalabip!", Oxford American magazine tribute to the music of Alabama
