MIST Academy is an educational enrichment program for advanced math and science students in grades 4-12 the Birmingham area. MIST stands for Mathematics, Informatics, Science, and Technology. MIST Academy currently holds its classes at the Vestavia Learning Center. It was founded in December 2007 by instructor Mathew Crawford.

MIST Academy is a member of the Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce and was honored as a Partners in Education program by Vestavia Hills High School at the May 2008 chamber luncheon.

MIST Academy donates time and resources for the Alabama MATHCOUNTS (middle school math team) and Alabama ARML (high school math team) programs.
