Monte Sano was a residential subdivision developed in the early 1900s by the Monte Sano Land Company on land formerly owned by Judge Mitchell Porter near Vinesville and Interurban Heights on the North Bessemer streetcar line in what is now Birmingham's Belview Heights neighborhood. The westernmost part of the subdivision was annexed into Fairfield.

Students from the former Monte Sano School transferred to the newly-built Central Park Elementary School in 1914.
