Olin Barnes III is the son of Mr. Olin B. Barnes Jr.(deceased) of Birmingham and Mary Martin Barnes of Louisianna. Olin Barnes III is a graduate of Mountain Brook High School where he excelled both in sports and academics.  Barnes III went on to the University of Alabama where he studied corporate finance and marketing. He was active in his Fraterity ( Sigma Nu )as rush chairman.
Barnes is the son of [[Olin Barnes Jr]] of Birmingham and Mary Martin Barnes of Louisiana. He is a [[1983]] graduate of [[Mountain Brook High School]] and studied corporate finance and marketing at the [[University of Alabama]]. While in school he worked at [[The Locker Room]], a [[Tuscaloosa]] clothier.


While at the University of Alabama he worked at "The Locker Room" selling men's clothing under the guidance of Alex Gatewood.  
Barnes took a position with [[Colonial Bank]] upon his return to Birmingham. In [[1988]] he became a financial advisor for [[Nowlin & Associates]], investment and insurance brokers. He earned certification from the College of Business and Finance as a "Certified Fund Specialist". In [[2003]] he joined with Pete Elliot of Los Angeles and Sinan Kinatsiz of San Clemente to form BankSwap, which he served as CEO and President.  


After returning to Birmingham from Tuscaloosa Barnes accepted a position with Colonial Bank.  While at Colonial Barnes III assisted in rapidly growing the business services unit and merchant banking.
Aside from his business interests Barnes enjoys watersports, motorcycling and cooking.


In late 1988 Barnes was offered a position with Nowlin and Associates of Birmingham and became a financial advisor. Barnes spent the next 15 years growing a successful practice of investment and insurance clientelle.  While working with Charlie Nowlin President of Nowlin and Associates Barnes III consistently exceeded his goals and expectations.  Olin Barnes III continued his education and earned the CFS ( Certified Fund Specialist ) designation from The College of Business and Finance which he maintains certification.

Olin Beall Barnes III (born November 22, 1964 in Birmingham) is the Managing Director and co-founder of LifeServe, a national insurance and financial services brokerage in Birmingham and Atlanta.

Barnes is the son of Olin Barnes Jr of Birmingham and Mary Martin Barnes of Louisiana. He is a 1983 graduate of Mountain Brook High School and studied corporate finance and marketing at the University of Alabama. While in school he worked at The Locker Room, a Tuscaloosa clothier.
