Omar's Drive-In was a drive-in restaurant open from 1962-67 at 920 26th Street North ([{Carraway Boulevard]], then still known mainly as Highway 31). Highway 31 was an active cruising strip in the mid 1960s with Omar's and Ed Salem's providing the food and Lassiter Mountain Dragway, a few miles north, providing the main attraction. Omar's was known for it's "Kai-Ham" sandwiches.
The location was previously a Salvatore's, and the business was closed when I-20/59 was constructed on top of the parking lot.
