S. Fly has formed many alliances within the Alabama music community, joining jazz/soul/funk band Mecca’s Groove in [[2004]] (horn section – trombone). He has performed with Mary J. Blige, Run-DMC, Outkast, and Goodie Mobb to name a few. He has also produced for and recorded with several of Alabama’s elite, including Thed Weller, Sam Addams, John Paul, Supreme, and [[Sharrif Simmons]]. In 2006, he was chosen by APTV to produce original music for the soundtrack and score to "[[Thornton Dial Has Something to Say]]", a documentary about visual artist [[Thornton Dial]] and the racism and rejection he’s faced in the art world.
